The old way

Recipe changes shouldn't be this risky

As a brand grows, the binder breaks. The same dish gets cooked four different ways, and nobody can prove the new spec ever reached the line.

Conflicting versions

Printouts, texts, and PDFs — which one is current?

Allergen risk

A spec changes; the laminated card on the line doesn't.

No proof of receipt

You pushed the update. Did every store actually read it?

Slow to change

Rolling out one change across locations takes weeks.

The core loop

One source of truth. Controlled distribution. Verified receipt.

01

Author once

One creator writes the recipe — steps, allergens, media. Preps nest as building blocks; allergens roll up automatically.

02

Approve safely

Submit for sign-off. An approver reviews and approves before it publishes — every change versioned.

03

Distribute everywhere

Publish a versioned snapshot to every location, or stage it store-by-store. The line never breaks mid-edit.

04

Prove it landed

Cooks acknowledge on the line. You see sign-off completion per store and station — real proof it arrived.

On the line

A kitchen view built for real service

The cook-facing display is dark, glare-resistant, and readable at arm's length with gloved hands. It caches the current recipes so it keeps working when the Wi-Fi doesn't.

Questions

The short answers

What exactly is Tavorly?

Tavorly is a recipe viewer for restaurants. Your team authors each recipe once, approves it, and publishes it to the iPads on your kitchen line — so every location cooks from the current, correct spec.

How is this different from a shared drive or PDFs?

A shared drive stores files; it doesn't control change. Tavorly versions every edit, runs changes through review and approval before they go live, keeps the old revision running until the new one lands, and shows you which locations have actually read it.

Does it work offline on the line?

Yes. The kitchen view is built for real service — it caches the current recipes, shows a clear 'synced as of' stamp, and flags clearly when it needs to reconnect, so the line is never silently on an old spec.

What about food safety and allergens?

Critical control points (CCP, red) and quality points (QCP, gold) are fixed and unmissable — they can't be styled away. Allergens are tagged on ingredients and roll up automatically through nested preps.

What languages are supported today?

English and Spanish. Recipes can be machine-translated with a per-brand translation memory and a glossary for terms you never want translated. More languages are on the roadmap.

Is our data isolated from other brands?

Yes — each brand gets its own dedicated database, not a shared table with a tenant column. It's real isolation, which matters for enterprise security reviews.
